SAVED FROM DEATH! A TRUE STORY!
Once upon a time, there was a young man who taught for Arthur Murrays in Long Beach. He studied hard & became the dance director of the local studio, then certified judge & member of the Arthur Murray National Dance Board. He lived for years in a garage that was used before by many dance teachers at the studio.
He became sick. He lost weight,
broke out in rashes and became weak. He was going to a doctor who saw
cryptocides (form of cancer) in the blood. He was scared! He cried out, not to
God or Jesus, but in his
spirit: "I don't want to die! I haven't done anything in my life!"
Then he had a sudden urge to read the Bible! He always wanted to all his life
but never took the time. But now he was scared! He was afraid! So he bought a
NIV Study Bible and was led to read the Gospel of John. As he read it, he
realized he was a sinner and needed to repent and ask Jesus to forgive his sins
and be his Savior. So he got down on his knees in that little garage & prayed
over & over again for forgiveness! Once is enough if you mean it in your heart.
But he was into it, strongly, like a Jew praying at the Western Wall with
passion!
When he got up, he didn't feel anything different but as he started going to
church and reading the Bible, the symptoms slowly went away! SAVED FROM DEATH!
And then the Lord started to give him evidence for the truth of the Bible and
speak to him in unique ways! His dance business was growing and the garage
seemed smaller. Then, hundreds of bugs invaded his home and he got tired of
fighting them. So he said: "I can't stand it here anymore! I must get out of
here!" Then he felt like the Lord spoke to him and said: "It's good to be thrifty
but not this much. Go get a VA loan & look for a place."
Suddenly he came into some money, which was a miracle in itself! So he ran over
to a new place he watched them build at Ocean and Cherry. There was only one
unit left...the best! He would have settled for bottom floor or back alley
type but this was affectionately called "the penthouse"! It was on
the top floor with about 2000
square feet with a spectacular ocean view! This was made possible through
of series of miracles! It fell out of escrow three times and the last time
was a few days before he got some money! It was also a bank repo at about half
price! So he moved in! The Lord took him from the garage to the
penthouse! Praise the Lord!
When he was "Saved from Death" he was going to give up his dancing and become a missionary. But the Lord said "No" and then He led him to "Psalm 30:11...The Lord has turned my mourning into dancing!" So he opened the studio!
The Lord also led him into travel and dance! I just thank Him so much for saving me from death and giving me a wonderful business and life to bring joy and dance into peoples lives!
