ARE YOU WALKING BY FAITH OR THE CIRCUMSTANCE OF THIS LIFE
HABAKKUK CHAPTER 2 VERSE 4
“BEHOLD THE PROUD, HIS SOUL IS NOT UPRIGHT IN HIM; BUT THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY HIS FAITH.”
Most people are controlled by the circumstances that they find themselves in and many are unhappy with the problems they have to face each day. Life too many of us is seen through the five senses that govern a good part of our lives. Reality, to a good part of humanity, is the here and now and what I have to face each day. No though is given to the reality that we don not see, but that is hidden from our eyes. The philosophy of the world is to grab all you can as this life is all there is, and after death it’s over and you go into oblivion and that’s it. This type of mindset is what has been taught in many of our schools of higher learning and many except this. The word of God has much to say about the situations of life that we find ourselves in and that life is not by chance but there is a creator who does rule over all his creation and will bring every work into judgment. Ecclesiastes 12 verse 14 “for God shall bring every work into judgment with every secret thing whether it be good or whether it be evil” These words were spoken by King Solomon under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The Bible tells us that the Lord is worthy to be praised and trusted as he knows all the future and is able to bring all the circumstances that we face under his Sovereign control. There are those who believe that God is in a power struggle with the Devil or the forces of darkness, which is complete nonsense, as the Lord has all power which is called omnipotence as well as omniscience and has all knowledge of every situation that is taking place in those universes, and that nothing can be hid from God Almighty. Many in this life are looking to escape the trials of life by drug immorality or the pleasures of the life if you can call them that. Thank God there is an answer to the problems that we face and that answer is the living word of God. If we will pick it up and began to read it and to believe it the Lord will speak to our hearts. If God created us and we are not here by chance then we can be sure the Lord made us and knows us better then us ourselves. We need to put aside our pride and realize that we don’t have all the answers, but He does. The purpose for the incarnation was that the infinite God would become man and clothe Himself with humanity and experience life as you and I do each day of our lives yet without sin. In the Gospel of John we have these wonderful words, “The word was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten son of the Father full of grace and truth. The term begotten is not speaking of the Lord Jesus being a created being, but is speaking of first honor or position. The son of God is equal to God the Father in every way and is to be worshipped as God. In John chapter 10 verse 28 we have these words from the good shepherd; “I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish;” If the Lord Jesus can save us then he can keep us and give us purpose in life. I leave you with these words from the book of Romans “Whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10 verse 9
