GODS FINAL REVELATION TO A WORLD IN REBELLION

HEBREWS CHAPTER ONE VERSE ONE AND TWO

“GOD, WHO AT VARIOUS TIMES AND IN VARIOUS WAYS SPOKE IN TIME PAST TO THE FATHERS BY THE PROPHETS, US BY HIS SON, WHOM HE HAS APPOINTED HEIR OF ALL THINGS, THROUGH WHOM ALSO HE MADE THE WORLDS;”

The greatest question that mankind has been asking is; Does God exist and has he revealed himself to humanity?  This question for God has been a part of mans search for the answers to why are we here, and what is the purpose of life? Sad to say men have been looking in the wrong place and have been looking within themselves.  We should call this subjective or truth as I see it.  This is why you have many world religions that teach a works type of salvation.  The world is filled with many who claim that they have a special revelation from God and send a check or a donation.  The word of the living God tells us that God has revealed himself in two major ways, and that is the general revelation and the special revelation. General revelation has to do with the creation which includes the heavens and the earth that were brought into existence by a Supreme Being or creator.  Isaiah chapter 42 verse 5; “Thus says God the Lord, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it, And spirit to those who walk  on it.”  The Bible tells us that God is the source of all truth and this truth is found in the scriptures which are without error.  The argument used by many who believe that truth is relative and deny the miraculous, reject the scriptures without examining the evidence of the scriptures themselves.  The support for the Bible being true is found in many of the prophecies being fulfilled many hundreds of thousands of years after they were written, such as have to do with the nation of Israel coming into existence after being driven out of the land thousands of years before.  Case in point: Deuteronomy 28 verse 64 “Then the Lord will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known-wood and stone.”  You also have many prophecies being fulfilled by the Lord Jesus Christ himself, such as; his virgin birth and his rejection by the nation of Israel and the leaders themselves.  Another area to consider is archeology and the finding of many of the cities mentioned in the scriptures up until fifty years ago many scholars rejected the Hittites as a people or nation, but now have been able to find evidence that their was a civilization called the Hittites. As you study the writings of many of the Greek classics you find that many of these events and people lived hundreds or thousands of years before people even wrote of them, so the chances of twisting the facts were very real.  But as you study the books of the Bible you come to this conclusion: many of the events took place only a few years before they were written about.  Much of the Bible was completed by the year 90A.D. or about that period so many who wrote about the life and ministry of Jesus were eye witnesses of his ministry.  The credibility of the scriptures is so overwhelming compared too much that is written today that you have to come to the conclusion that this Bible is of divine origin.  I leave you with these words from scriptures First John chapter 5 verse 11; “And this is the testimony: that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His son.”
