THE BABE OF BETHLEHEM WHO ONE DAY IS COMING TO RULE THIS PLANET EARTH AND ALL WILL BOW BEFORE HIM

TEXT: PHILEMONS 2 VERSE 11

“And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father.”

To many people around the world the babe of Bethlehem is just the story of a Jewish Madam giving birth to a child that would be called Jesus the Christ. To many this would be the beginning of a human life that would one day die on a cross for the sins of the world, but the word of God has much more to say about the babe of Bethlehem then many people realize.  The preexistence of the babe in Bethlehem is spoken of in many of the great prophecies of the Old Testament and we need to examine if these things are so.  The taking of a human body at conception speaks of the Messiah entering human history as a baby, but the person that lived in that body existed long before this event took place. In the book of Isaiah 9 verse 6 and on we have these words…”for unto us a child is born” is speaking of the Savior of the world taking upon Himself flesh or a human body and the term ‘a son is given’ is speaking of the eternally of the son who is not a created being but the creator himself.  The term the government shall be upon his shoulder is telling us that his rule will be worlds wide and no one will stop His ruling over the nations of the earth. In Psalm 2, these words in verse 12…  “Kiss the Son, lest He is angry and ye perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little.  Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him.”  This Psalm was written at least one thousand years before the coming into the world of the babe of Bethlehem and is not speaking of King David as the rabbis would like us to believe but is a messianic prophecy of the Messiah of Israel who is none other then the Lord Jesus Christ.  In the book of Luke you have these words about the babe of Bethlehem in chapter 1 verse 32.....  “He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of His Father David, and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever and of His kingdom there shall be no end. The Word of the living God tells us in plain language that the Lord promised David that the Messiah would be from the loins of David and He would have an everlasting Kingdom and rule over the house of Jacob forever and ever. All these great prophecies will come to pass as of the Lord Jesus Christ have already come to pass in fact over three hundred prophecies have been fulfilled by his first coming. The new theology of our day is called replacement theology which teaches that God is through with the nation of Israel and the church is the new Israel, but the prophecies of the Old Testament speak of Jesus coming back to the nation of Israel and reigning over the nation of Israel forever and ever. Zachariah 12 verse 10 speaks of Israel in the tribulation looking upon the risen Messiah and recognizing Him as their Messiah and bowing before Him in worship.  Zachariah 14 speaks of the feet of the Lord Jesus touching the Mount of Olives and then going to fight against those nations that have come up to destroy the nation of Israel but will be destroyed themselves.  All nations and Israel will bow before the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and submit to his Lordship. It is better to bow now then wait until after death takes place as then it will be too late…… “Whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
