NOT KNOWING THE SIGNS OF THE TIME WILL BRING DOOM TO MANY OF THE WORLDS POPULATION. DOES THAT INCLUDE YOU?

MATTHEW 16 VERSE 3

“YOU KNOW HOW TO DISCERN THE FACE OF THE SKY, BUT YOU CANNOT DISCERN THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES.”

How strange that we human beings are so occupied with this life that we have no time to consider that there is a life to come. The Bible is filled with cases of those who were unprepared to face the living God. The standard philosophy of humanity is to get all the toys that you can get and to give no thought to Gods word, which tells us in no uncertain terms that we have an appointment with the one that created us and everyone of us will keep that appointment. Hebrew 9 verse 27 “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.”  The word of God calls this faulty thinking and we will suffer the consequences which is eternal separation from a holy God.  How quick we are to forget the twin towers and the many that died and only the Lord knows how many were prepared to meet him. As I am writing this paper another earthquake has struck Indonesia and many wonder if they will face a large title wave that will destroy many more lives. From the great flood of Noah that took the lives of millions and up to our day and age many in this life are unprepared to face the living God who will judge the living and the dead. In second Peter chapter 3 verse 10; we have these words of warning: “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the Heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.”  The key thought is the day will come as a thief in the night which means the world will be asleep. Humanistic thinking is live for the moment there is no life beyond the grave so why worry about a future judgment as God does not exist. This has been the mind set of countless generations who have lived and died on the planet earth. In Psalm 14 verse 1 we have these words from David: “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ Here the Lord calls anyone who denies his existence a fool, and sorry to say the world is full of fools. Those who profess to be wise, but in reality are called fools. What is the remedy for being a pagan or one called a fool by the Living God? We need to look out of ourselves and realize that a supreme being created all of the earth and all of the Heavens, which includes the animal kingdom and all the  planets and galaxies  which you and I observe with our 5 senses and to bow the knee in adoration and worship. We either worship ourselves or worship the one who made us. In the book of Romans we have these words from the great apostle Paul “who exchanged the truth for the lie and worshipped and served the creature rather then the creator is blessed forever Amen.” The answer to self worship is to repent of our sins and believe by faith that Christ died for our sins and to call upon the name of the Lord and his name is Jesus. “Whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10 verse 9.
