The coming judgments on the Hamans of the world

Text Esther Chapter 6 verse 12 and 13

The name haman is not a name that most people are familiar with and if you were to ask the average person what you know about this, many would not know who you were talking about. Of all the sixty six books of the Bible this book alone never mentions the name of God. The book of Esther was written about a 103 years after Jewish people were taken captive by Nebuchadnezzer and deported to Babylon where they spent 75 years in captivity because of their disobedience. The great theme of this book is that God is sovereign over the affairs of men and nations. Who is haman and where did this take place? Haman was a descendent of king Agag who was an avowed enemy of the nation of Israel and the Jewish people. Amelek was a descendant of Esau the father of the Edomits and was an enemy of the nation of Israel and sought to destroy the Jewish people. The history of Israel speaks of all who ever come against Her end up being judged by the Lord. Haman was from a long line of nations and individuals who have sought to get rid of the Jew and failed. When Haman came upon the ocean He was part of the Persian Empire as an advisor to king Ahasuerus and sought to influence the King against the Jews living in the realm of this Persian Monarch. In our day this nation is Iran and also seeks to get rid of the Jew, yet it will not succeed. In the book of Genesis the Lord speaks to Abraham and says, “I will bless those that bless you, and I will curse him who curses you;” Genesis 12 verse 3. God always keeps his word and as the scriptures teach: let God be true and every man a liar. If I never read the Bible and just studied the history of the Jew or nation of Israel I would come to this conclusion: history does support this fact that no nation has ever been able to wipe the Jew off the face of the earth. Hitler tried and failed and in the end He committed suicide.

You and I are living in a world that hates the Jew. In the final days of the world history will gather together all the nations of earth and come against Israel and will be judged by the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. They will be destroyed by the brightness of his coming.

Anti Semitism has been around for many years and will not succeed because God is still on his throne and will fulfill all his word in spite of mankind. What is the answer to the hamans of the world? It is found in Gods Holy Word: to love what God loves means we need a new Heart and that only comes through the new birth which the Lord Jesus spoke of in the gospel of John. “You must be born again” John 3 verses 5-7. I leave you with these words from the book of Romans “whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” Roman chapter ten verse nine.
