The Tragedies of Life, Mother Nature or a Sovereign God who rules over the affairs of men

Isaiah 45 verse 12

“I have made the earth, And created man upon it.  My hands stretched out the Heavens, And all their host have I commanded.”

The last few weeks as millions of Americans have watched the great tragedies unfold across TV. Screens, you hear this remark mentioned over and over again “Mother Nature is unleashing her fury” and “we have no explanation for what has taken place in our nation.”  It seems that life is one big crap shoot and like Las Vegas everything happens by chance.  The major thinking of modern man is there is no objective truth but everything that one is experiencing is always subjective or how I look at life. The schools of higher learning have done a good job of blinding our younger generations and convincing them there is no God and life has no real purpose, this life is all that matters.  It is only when you turn to the Bible that you come to the realization that we are not here by chance and that a Sovereign God rules over his creation and has not abdicated his Lordship over the Heavens and the earth. Doesn’t it seem strange that before all these events took place all the news was about Israel and how the U.N. and the United States put great pressure upon my Jewish people to give up land to their sworn enemies, who have planned to destroy the nation of Israel.  I can say this will never take place as God has sworn by his holiness that He will make a full end of all nations and Israel will remain. Jeremiah 31 verse 35 to verse 37…Here the living God speaks of the sun and the moon that he has created for days and nights and that if man can bring an end to ordinances then God would destroy the nations. There is only one nation that God has made a covenant with and that is the nation of Israel and woe to the nations and individuals that seek to destroy this nation or the Jew himself.  The graveyards of the nations are filled with those who sought to rid the world of the Jew. The Moslem world is about to learn a very painful lesson: that the God of Israel neither slumbers or sleeps but will fulfill his word and bring great judgment upon the Arab world. History tells us that the Lord will keep his word in our day as he has done in past history.  The Bible is filled with the stories of those who have chosen to go their own way and to rebel against the Lord. There are two major areas that God warns nations and individuals and that is hatred of the Jew and flaunting ones sins in the face of the living God. America will taste of Gods wrath for her open rebellion and sinful lifestyle. The other is putting pressure upon the nation of Israel to give up her land to the avowed enemies of Israel.  All of these calamities coming upon our nation are a warning from the God of Israel to turn from our wicked ways and to repent as a nation or to perish from the face of the earth.  Mother Nature will not save us as we turn our backs to the God that created us. Repent and we will find salvation. The word of the scriptures tells us that whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10 verse 9.
