THE INVISIBLE LINE THAT MEN CROSS AND THAT DETERMINES THEIR ETERNAL DESTINY

GENESIS 6 verse 3

 “MY SPIRIT SHALL NOT ALWAYS STRIVE WITH MAN FOREVER”

What is the invisible line that men may cross and seal their destiny? Many go through this life and give no thought that a day of reckoning is coming and that no one escapes it.  How many in life give thought beyond the planet called Earth, they are so wrapped up with their day to day problems and couldn’t care less.  In the final analysis you decide where you want to spend eternity.  The Bible tells us that God has made us to make moral choices in life and no one can make them for us.  The world and its philosophy tell us we have plenty of time and we eat, drink, and make merry as we have lots of time to make wise choices.  The word of God tells us otherwise and that our lives are like a vapor and our time on Earth is brief and we soon fly away.  Whereas ye know not what your life shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is a vapor that appeared for a little time and then vanished away.  I believe that from the time we know right from wrong that the living God is seeking to speak to us and wants to draw us to Him, but the temptations of this life blind us to the Lord and His great desire to reveal himself to us.  In second Corinthian chapter four and verse three and four we have these words from Paul the Apostle “But if our Gospel be it hid to them that are lost, in whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ who is the image of God should shine unto them.”  The God of this world is none other then Satan the chief enemy of the souls of men who has done a masterful job in deluding mankind that he does not exist.  The human conscience was created by the Lord “that we should seek the Lord while he may be found.”  But sin can so blind our conscience that we do not respond to the voice of our creator, but turn a deaf ear to the one who loves us and desires to deliver us from the evil that is destroying us.  This world is filled with the men and women who have shut their ears to the ministry of the Holy Spirit that is seeking to convict us that we should repent and believe the Gospel.  What is the Gospel?  That Christ died for our sins and was buried and raised the third day.  I leave you with these words….”Whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10 and verse 9.
