Forquera
was born in Mendoza, Argentina he studied diverse dancing techniques in NY,
Spain and Buenos Aires where he embraced the essence of the Milongueros de Villa
Urquiza. He first performed Tango y
Tango in the Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center.
During the past seven years of residence in NY, Francisco has participated in several off-Broadway shows including Buenos Aires Celebration Month at the world financial center, Paramount of the Arts in Peekskill, Colorado Dance Festival in Denver, Colorado and in the film Random Harts with Harrison Ford. In August 2001 he was offered the principal roll in the musical Camila on the Walnut Street Theater of Philadelphia.
Francisco Forquera is in the current running of Forever Tango. His style, execution, and presence is spectacular. He began his training in the Ballet Folklorico de Gaymallen in 1989. His tango debut was in the show "Tango y Tango" at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center. Available for privates at our school by appointment.
