Wednesday, September 3: VANCOUVER PRE TOUR! Today we start our exciting adventure!
Our dance friends fly from various cities throughout the USA to British
Columbia! Welcome to Canada! Transfer is provided by our hotel. Just call them
whenever you arrive. Our hotel is located only a few blocks from a lovely
ballroom! Let's dance! Mix & mingle with all of our dance friends! Enjoy Canada! Let the party
begin!
Thursday,
September 4: Early morning departure for our fun ferryboat ride to
picturesque Victoria Island! Enjoy famous Butchart Gardens! Sightsee this
charming city including the famous Fairmont Empress Hotel! Enjoy the Royal
British Museum! Let’s dance again tonight!
Friday, September 5: CRUISE BEGINS! Enjoy Vancouver today as
we see some of the sights! Afternoon transfer to our wonderful ship, the Legend
of the Seas! Be on board no later than 530pm.Our ship sails at 730pm. Don’t
miss the boat!
Saturday,
Sept 6 - Friday, Sept 12: Cruising the Northern route,
including the inside passage and the following ports: Ketchikan,
Skagway, Juneau, Sitka,
Hubbard Glacier (Cruising) and Seward. Disembark our ship this morning for a
3 hour coach transfer to Anchorage.
Friday, September 12: POST-TOUR: Seward – Talkeetna!
Your private motorcoach will pick you up at the
cruise ship dock in Seward and begin your Alaskan Land journey north along the
Seward highway. Your first stop is Anchorage, where your driver will point out
Anchorage highlights as you depart for the Alaska Native Heritage Center.
The Alaska Native Heritage Center is a gathering place that celebrates,
perpetuates, and shares Alaska Native cultures. After going through the center
your coach will continue north through Eagle River, Wasilla, the Matanuska
Valley, arriving in Talkeetna. Overnight
in Talkeetna at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge or similar. Let's dance again!
Saturday,
September 13: Talkeetna
– Denali! There
will be some time this morning to
explore the small town of Talkeetna. Optional
plane or helicopter ride to see amazing
Mt McKinley, North America’s highest peak! Your
private coach will take you to Denali National Park. There will be time to
participate in optional adventures. Upon arrival in Denali, there will be time for
activities this afternoon (flightseeing, rafting, and hiking). Overnight Denali
National Park entrance at the Denali Bluffs
Hotel or similar. Cap it off with more dancing!
Sunday,
September 14:
Denali – Fairbanks! This
morning you will check in for your Natural History Tour. You can upgrade and
switch to the Tundra Wildlife Tour for extra $35, worth every penny!
The Tundra Wildlife Tour departs this morning into
the heart of the park where you can view and photograph wildlife such as moose,
caribou, Dall sheep and grizzly bears. Weather
permitting, you may get a glimpse of the park’s famous attraction, Mt.
McKinley. At 20,320 feet McKinley
is North America’s highest peak. A
picnic snack is served during the tour. After return from the tour, you will board Alaska Railroad cars for the
journey to Fairbanks. The
train will depart Denali National Park at 3.45 pm arriving in Fairbanks at 8.15
pm. Upon
arrival in Fairbanks, check into your hotel for the night. Overnight Fairbanks
at the Aspen Hotel Fairbanks or similar. There are ballroom & swing clubs here
for more dance fun!
Tuesday,
September 16: Depart Fairbanks! We
fly home to the lower 50 (states) and savor the memories of this thrilling
Alaska adventure!
