DANCE SCHEDULE in NEW YORK for TANGO!  

Saturday, Sept 9... Welcome!  We fly into Newark (EWR) from various locations around the country:   ETA  about 4pm or earlier. Do not arrive later! Ground transportation takes us to the city.  Check into our Edison Hotel.  This landmark hotel is where George Burns & Gracie Allen stayed during their vaudeville days.  Recently renovated, it has a charming lobby and the best location... the Heart & Soul of  Broadway and Theaters!  Welcome to the City of Lights... New York, New York! Dinner on our own. Check out Central Park by the Shakespeare Statue (enter at 66th St) for some free fun tango and dancing with snacks & beverages. And if that’s not enough… Lafayette Grill for Milonga!  Welcome to the Big Apple! 
Sunday, Sept 10... Sleep in and enjoy a leisure breakfast in our hotel (included).  An abundance of churches... St Paul’s Cathedral, Calvary Baptist at 123 W 57th & 7th Avenue and many more. Dance Manhattan has Practica with Tioma “El Ruso” Maloratsky @ $5. Pleasant dance dreams! 
Monday, Sept 11... Breakfast (included). For dinner… a great Deli-Supermarket, “Healthy Creation” 840-0579 is only a block from our hotel at 764 8th Ave, third store on SE corner on 47th. Good place for lunch or dinner! Snacks, and frozen yogurts 24hrs with sit down or take-out eating. They also have health drinks like carrot juice. Another good place for lunch or dinner is Ollie’s Chinese Restaurant.  They serve brown rice too!  Frozen yogurt is nearby. Free day on your own to enjoy the City Sights... Radio City Music Hall; Empire State Building; Macy’s; Ground Zero; horse & carriage ride through Central Park (horsing around will cost you extra) and finishing at Tavern-on-the-Green for lunch...  (Insist on the magnificent Crystal Room - reservations a must!); Times Square, great theater shows through the ½ price ticket booth at 47th & Broadway; Rosie O’Grady’s, 52nd & 7th Avenue; Circle Island 3 hour Boat Tour, circling entire island of Manhattan with a view of the inspiring Grand Lady, the Statue of Liberty! Our dinner (included) is in the revolving restaurant at the top of the Marriott Marquis with a spectacular view of Manhattan. After dinner, let’s see a Broadway Show! Tuesday, Sept 12... Hotel breakfast (included).  Another free day today!  Here are some spare time ideas...  Shop till you drop!  Great jewelry buys at  H Stern Jewelers at 645 Fifth Avenue Olympic Tower; have lunch at the exquisite & pricey Palm Court of the Plaza Hotel (a Donald Trump hotel).  Dinner on your own.  Restaurants are available in the Marriott Marquis or there are many restaurants around our hotel (Steak House, Chinese, etc).  There is an excellent Italian Restaurant, Carmine’s, West 44th Street between Broadway & 8th but reservations are a must... 221-3800. Tango Option...Dance 930pm till late for La Boca at Campanello Restaurant for some late night thrilling tango!  Pleasant dreams! 
Wednesday, Sept 13... Breakfast (included). Tango Optional...9-11pm Practice Tango Jam at Dance Manhattan…Students FREE!

Thursday, Sept 14... Breakfast in our hotel (included).  We depart about 10am for the famous Catskill Mountains!  Should be good sightseeing on the way!  We arrive at the Nevele Resort Hotel in time for lunch from 1-2pm and our Welcome Party!  You’ll love this hotel!  It is a wonderful resort in the Catskills with indoor & outdoor swimming pools, outdoor tennis, (golf, horseback riding, indoor tennis - slight extra charge), saunas, health club, several dance clubs, many tango dance classes (private lessons available), shows & entertainment, 3 gourmet meals a day and more!  Dance tonight!  Friday starts a big dance weekend here and we’ll be meeting dancers from all over the country! Welcome to the Stardust Dance weekend! Welcome to the Catskills!
Friday, Sept 15... Take your pick of the many activities.  There are over 50 dance workshops, many running simultaneously in several different rooms.  Go from one class to another for free!  Plus, there are several rooms strictly for dancing!  Also, dancing daily in the dining room during lunch & dinner!  Plus, champagne reception today!  WOW!
Saturday, Sept 16... More classes, dancing, gourmet meals, activities!  Dress up for our evening cocktail party; open bar with hot & cold hors d'oeuvres. Tonight is showtime!  You’ll love it! This is our last night here at Stardust. 
Sunday, Sept 17... We check out of the hotel after lunch from 1-2pm.  We travel through the scenic Catskills to Newark airport for our departures home (Do not depart before 6pm).  Great finish for a Double Treat!
