October 31 … Depart
nationwide for the Amazon! Flights are overnight via Florida into Manaus,
Brazil’s modern city in the jungle.
Thursday,
November 1… Welcome to
South America’s largest and most popular country, Brazil! VISA is required
for entry. Manaus is located in the densest part of the Amazon Jungle. Hey,
it’s got city comforts! We don’t have to rough it! Guys, let’s see if
the legend is right about those BIG women! We check into our hotel by a lovely
park and pedestrian street malls. We take a city tour today seeing the old
market, the cultural center, the Indian Museum and the famous, striking Opera
House. Optional Extra Cost: Tonight, we dance at a local studio.

Friday,
November 2…Today we take a
cruise on the mighty Amazon River! See the phenomenal “Meeting of the
Waters” of the Rio Negro and Solimoes Rivers. They meet to form the Amazon
River yet do not mix for four miles, creating an amazing line where the dark
and light waters join. Continue up one of the rivers with some native children
joining us in canoes as we land at a beautiful pathway through the jungle on
an island. You will love this fascinating visit to the Amazon Jungle!
Tomorrow, we depart for Rio. BBD
Saturday, November 3…”Flying down to
Rio”, comes alive for us as we fly into Rio de Janeiro! Our hotel is on
a side street next to famous Copacabana Beach! What a view from the pool atop
our hotel! You’ll love this beautiful area of Rio! It’s a thrill just to
stroll the walkway in front of the hotels on the beach.
See fascinating Rio on our city tour and take the cable car to the
summit of famous Sugarloaf Mountain with its spectacular view of the city. BBD
Sunday,
November 4…Today, we take a
cog railway to the top of Corcovado (Hunchback) Mountain and admire the 122 ft
high, 1400 ton granite statue of Christ the Redeemer with his arms
outstretched in love! Enjoy the panoramic view of the most beautiful harbor
and beach in the world! Tonight is our adventure! Optional Extra Cost: Take
a ride on the cleanest and safest subway in the world as we visit a local
dance studio for a lesson in the Samba followed by a dance to all of our
favorite music! BB (Bed-Breakfast Included – Dinner on own)
Monday,
November 5…Our last day to
enjoy beautiful Rio! But don’t see a Samba show here. We’ve included a
better one in Iguassu! BBD
Tuesday, November 6…Today we fly into the Niagara Falls
of South America, Iguassu Falls. Spectacular is the word for this natural
wonder in the lush jungle of vegetation on the border of Argentina, Brazil and
Paraguay. We first visit the world’s largest dam, the Itaipu Dam on the
border with Paraguay. Tonight is our spectacular dinner show at Johnny’s!
You will see all three countries performing their native dances and it is much
better than the show in Rio! BBD
Wednesday,
November 7 … Today we
tour both sides of the Falls and thrill to a safari boat ride up to the edge
of the Falls. See 270 separate falls spanning 2 ½ miles. They are wider than
Victoria Falls and higher than Niagara Falls. Tonight is our dinner dance in
our hotel. Tomorrow we depart for Buenos Aires. BBD
Thursday,
November 8…Transfer
to Argentine Airport for flights to Buenos Aires. Our hotels are located right
next to the famous Obelisco, near the pedestrian shopping streets and Tango
Clubs. Optional Extra Cost: Tonight, we take a Tango lesson and enjoy
mixing with the locals! Buenos Noches! BBD
Friday,
November 9…Start with our
city tour and see the magnificent districts of Barrio Norte and Palermo, with
their parks and unique buildings as well the majestic Colon Theater.
Tonight’s our dinner show, including Latin America’s most sensuous dance,
“The Tango”. BBD
Saturday,
November 10…Today, our
ladies can take a home a gaucho! Visit an exciting working gaucho ranch, Santa
Susana! A terrific lunch is included along with the exciting dance
show! See the gauchos dance their
folklore and the Tango! Watch the gauchos perform on horseback. Ride a horse
yourself! Optional Extra Cost: Tonight we join the dancers at a local
club. Enjoy our last night in Buenos Aires. BBLD
Sunday,
November 11… Fly southwest into the heart of the Andes to the Tyrolean
village of Bariloche. Nested on shores of fjord-like Lago Nahuel Huapi, this
resort is popular year-round. Stroll the streets and check out a chocolate
supermarket or lunch at one of many fine Swiss, German or Austrian
restaurants. Dinner and dancing at our hotel tonight. BBD
Monday,
November 12…Today our bus
takes us on the Circuito Chico Tour, including Playa Bonita, the foot of
Campanario Hill, the peninsula of Lao-Llao, La Angostura. Dinner and dancing
at our hotel. BBD
Tuesday,
November 13…Cruise across
Lago Nahuel Huapi to Puerto Blest on the first leg of our journey to Chile.
Next, motor coach through the pristine wilderness adorned by emerald lakes and
thick pine forests. View soaring Osorno Volcano as you cross Lago Todos Los
Santos by ferry. Seeing these volcanoes from the middle of the Alps is a
spectacular sight! Marvel at these perfect snow capped volcano cones!
Overnight in Peulla with dancing too! BBD
Wednesday,
November 14… We continue our
venture through the Chilean Alps by boat and bus to Frutillar. Weather
permitting, you can see 3 majestic volcanoes across Lake Llanquihue. Dance
tonight in their hall with panoramic windows overlooking the beautiful lake
and inspiring volcanoes! BBD
Thursday,
November 15… Today we
enjoy a city tour of Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt with the Angelmo Market.
Shop ‘til you drop! Perhaps dance too! BBD
Friday,
November 16…We travel to
Puerto Montt for our flight to Santiago. Check into our four star hotel
located downtown near historical attractions and museums. The University of
Chile Metro Station is close by. We can dance tonight in the Winter Garde
Restaurant. BBD
Saturday,
November 17… Enjoy the city
tour of Santiago. Perched between
the Pacific Ocean and the Andes, Santiago has evolved as the country’s
political, commercial, and cultural capital. A city tour will take us back to
the 16th century, tracing this city’s heritage. We’ll view La
Moneda, the official Government Palace, and San Cristobal Hill and the stature
of the Virgin Mary. We can take a visit to the Archaeological Museum and its
collection of pre-Columbian art before stopping at the Plaza de Armas and the
18th century cathedral. Dance tonight in our hotel. BBD
Sunday,
November 18…Today we fly to
Lima, Peru. We start with a tour of the City of the Kings. Enjoy several
points of interest: the historical center, San Martin Square, Main Squar
(Plaza Mayor) founded in 1535 by Francisco Pizarro, conqueror of Peru, The
Government Palace, City Hall, the Cathedral and colonial mansions and moorish
balconies. Our afternoon city tour includes the Cathedral and Casa Aliaga,
South Americas best preserved colonial mansion. We must see the residential
areas of San Isidro and Miraflores. Perhaps we dance again tonight. BB
Monday,
November 19…We take a
morning flight to Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. Upon arrival
at our hotel, it is best to rest in order to acclimate to the altitude. (Precaution:
Cuzco is 12,000 feet. Heart patients should consult with their doctor prior to
this visit.) After resting, we tour the main square, the Cathedral,
Santa Domingo, the ruins of Kenko, l’ucapucara, Tambmachay and Sacsayhuaman
(sounds like “Sexy Woman”) Fortress. Tonight, enjoy
a buffet dinner with a folkloric show and native dancers. Ladies, take home a
Peruvian dancer! BBD
Wednesday,
November 21…Today
we fly back to Lima and enjoy another day at our hotel. Tonight, we depart for
the Lima airport and our international flights back to the USA. BB
Thursday, November 22…Our Red Eye flights arrive home early this morning after a wonderful South American Adventure! What a thrilling tour! I thank you for joining Psalm 30:11Tours for this spectacular journey of a lifetime!
