These fabulous Balls are held prior to Lent so we have no other choice
for time of year. This gives you a chance to wear your winter clothes and
enjoy the beauty of snow in the mountains.
However, the Balls are inside, transportation is warm, and the
buildings, hotel and Hofbraus are cozy!
But wear cool lightweight clothing for the Balls. Elegance is in!
Ladies, wear formal gowns you can dance in – or fancy cocktail dresses.
Gentlemen, tails are a must at the Opera Ball.
Otherwise, wear a tux or an elegant black suit. You’ll love the
beautiful music at these Balls, including of course the Viennese Waltz, as
well as slow Waltz, Foxtrot, Swing and Latins.

Coffee Ball at the Hofburg Imperial Palace (the formal residence of the
Austrian Emperors), Lawyer’s Ball, also at the Imperial Palace, and Greatest
of All…the SPECTACULAR VIENNA OPERA HOUSE!
Once a year they open the Vienna Opera House for a FANTASTIC BALL!
Just being inside the Opera House alone will make you awe struck!
You’ll LOVE the ULTIMATE in ballroom dancing!
We may add extra optional balls. At some of the balls, it’s LADIES
CHOICE & they wear eye masks until the unmasking at midnight! Advisory:
Since
mostly couples attend the balls, singles should try to bring a partner or
couple-up. Guys, before you bring a partner check with me first since single
ladies may outnumber single guys. I will also try to provide some local hosts
for our single ladies at the dances. Ladies, who wish to hire a local
professional or non-professional dancer in Vienna to dance with them at the
balls, please ask for our Rent-a-Host information sheet.
