Ballroom & Social Dancing:  WE TEACH ALL AGES: KIDS TO SENIORS!
We offer great classes (Group and Private) in Latin, Swing, Ballroom, Jazz & More! We use the Inter-related System, which allows you to learn easier and become a better dancer faster!

We teach all social dances: Salsa, Swing, Rumba, Cha Cha, Tango, Samba, Fox Trot, Waltz, Quick Step, Viennese Waltz, Hustle, Night Club 2 Step, Polka, Country, Hip Hop, More!

Our prices are very reasonable... Group classes are between $5.50 to $12 per hour and Private lessons are between $50 to $60 per hour.

We offer a great INTRODUCTORY SPECIAL...
2 Private hours, 1 Sunday Class & 1 Sunday Dance for only $50 per person or per couple. This Special is with a great teacher!

 6 WEEK COURSE: We also offer an 6 week course for only $42 per person:
 4 times a year (Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall), sponsored by City of Long Beach, Park & Rec Department. The next 8 week series starts in middle of January with great classes in Swing (East Coast & Lindy Hop) on Sundays at 5pm & Salsa on Saturdays at 11am. These classes are beginning to intermediate levels. There is a Salsa class for intermediate to advanced at 12pm on Saturdays starting the same time. We also have many Salsa classes in the evenings during weekdays & Sunday afternoon. 

ARGENTINE TANGO was available on Saturday evenings for a class and milonga but has danced away! Maybe dance back? 

WEEKLY DANCE with class & refreshments, from 6-10pm every Sunday for only $10. 
BEAUTIFUL STUDIO! It is 4,000 sq ft and has a superb wooden floor!
We have great music with an excellent sound system & a lot of free parking.  We are located about 20 miles south of Los Angeles at 530 E 4th Street in Long Beach, near 4th and Atlantic. 
 

JON GATYAS is the owner who has taught, danced, performed and judged for over 20 years. He has an associate membership in the ISTD and was a past member of the National Dance Board and dance director for Arthur Murray's. As the owner of Psalm 30:11 School of Dance, he has many talented staff members teaching at his school. Jon is a very energetic, exciting teacher who knocks you off of your feet with his amazing ability to make you dance like you have been dancing for years. Jon knows a large assortment of dances and offers private and group classes. He is also in charge of conducting wonderful dance tours that include dancing, sightseeing, eating great food from different cities and countries and exploring parts of the world some have never seen. These tours are usually conducted twice a year.
JOHN JONES: He began teaching Ballroom dance at Town & Country Club where Ron Montez as well as Chris & Denise Morris were trained. He eventually worked his way up from a department supervisor to Dance Director. In 1972, John Moved to Las Vegas where he assumed the position of Dance Director at Dance City U.S.A. He then became the co-owner of Vegas Dance Center until 1988. While in Las Vegas, John majored in dance at UNLV and served as a protégé to Peggy Ryan, who co-starred with Donald O'Connor in 17 movies as well as many other roles on her own such as "Grapes of Wrath". In 1990 John moved to San Luis Obispo where ho took a position as Dance Director at Ballroom Expressions and later taught independently until 2003. He is now at our studio and has an Introductory Special for 2 Private Lessons, 1 Class and 1 Sunday Dance, for new students  for only $50 per person or per couple.

FRANCISCO & MONICA-LOS RUMBEROS: This couple is extremely talented! They have won top Salsa shows in New York City and they travel all over the world to show off their amazing talent. Their performances are breathtaking! With their swift, sexy Salsa moves, they blow their audience away every time they perform. They offer Salsa classes for beginners up to advanced learners.
MAS SALSA BRAVA:  Melissa Fernendez and Luis Vasquez of Mas Salsa Brava are spectacular dancers. They offer Salsa classes for beginner to advanced learners.
AZUQUITAS: Lourdes is a wonderful teacher. She teaches Salsa to children and adults. She also provides our studio with dance shoes for teachers and students to purchase. The price is reasonable and the shoes are comfortable an last a long time. Lourdes also offers beginning to advanced classes. 
RICHARD SHARRARD: He first started dancing as a child at the Riley Center in Michigan. He received his dance training at the Arthur Murray and Fred Astaire studios and has studied with renowned teachers everywhere from London to New York to Los Angeles. He has won many awards for being a "Top Teacher" and for his performances. For 20 years, Richard was the proprietor of the Dance Factory in Long Beach. He now teaches classes at Lakewood Parks and Recreation, and private lessons at our studio. He teaches all forms of Social Dance, from the classic Fox Trot and Waltz to Latin dances such as Rumba, Cha Cha, and Tango, and current hits like Salsa and Country Western Line Dancing.

Psalm 30:11 School of Dance is located at 530 E 4th Street off of 4th and Atlantic.
The studio has been open for over 20 years and has successfully taught many men, women, and children the art of dance. Along with the wonderful classes that the studio offers, we also offer dance tours. We have gone to many different places including: Alaska, Vienna in Austria, Montreal, New York (Catskills), Las Vegas, South America, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and a dance cruise from Amsterdam to Vienna! We are now getting ready to go to France & Italy in May 05.
